SheRNI: UGC’s new initiative for women scientists, faculty members

The University Grants Commission’s (UGC) has recently launched the She Research Network in India (SheRNI) on Saturday, March 9. The main goal of this initiative is to promote equal representation of women scientists in various research fields. The UGC has developed the SheRNI website, which will connect 81,818 profiles of Indian women who are actively involved in the field of science and research. The UGC Chairman, M Jagadesh Kumar, stated that the aim is to recognize and highlight the contributions of women scientists and faculty members, as they are essential for the development of India through their research outcomes and innovative solutions.
